Sarah Mahar, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Mahar graduated from Greenville High School in 1995, from the University of Michigan in 1999 and from the University of Michigan Dental School in 2003. She enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry, with a special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry as well as working with kids. She values most the close, personal relationships she has with our dental family. She feels privileged to practice alongside her father in a community that has been so supportive all these years. Dr. Mahar is a member of the West Michigan District Dental Society, Michigan Dental Association and American Dental Association. She has served on the West Michigan Dental Peer Review Committee, the West Michigan District Dental Foundation and West Michigan District Dental Society Board . When she is not in the office crafting beautiful smiles, you will find her cheering her three boys Max, Connor and Reid on from the sidelines of various sports or enjoying some downtime while traveling.
Kirkwood Faber, DDS
Dr. Faber graduated from Greenville High School in 1965, from Michigan State University in 1969 and from University of Michigan Dental School in 1973. After practicing children's dentistry for two years in Switzerland, he returned to Greenville in 1975. In 1984 and 1985, Dr. Faber received extensive training in oral surgery & orthodontics and has added a large orthodontic component to his general practice. He has three grown children, 11 grandsons and resides in Crystal with his wife, Celeste. He is a member of the First Congregational Church, Boy Scouts Century Club, and past president of the Danish Festival. When practice demands are not too great, he enjoys traveling to skiing and wind surfing destinations.
Jessica McCane , DDS
Dr. McCane is from Sparta, Michigan and completed her bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University where she majored in Biomedical Sciences. She completed her doctorate at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and graduated at the top of her class. Dr. McCane lives in Rockford with her husband. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, travel, and try new restaurants.

I joined our Flat River Family Dentistry Admin team in 2023. I have a bachelor degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University. I enjoy cooking with my husband and making large meals for my three growing boys. In my spare time, you can find me getting lost in a good book, at the beach at Lake Michigan, or drinking coffee. (I LOVE coffee)

I rejoined FRFD in my new role of insurance coordinator in July of 2024. I previously worked as the patient coordinator from 2022-2023. I enjoy spending time with my family and vacationing via cruising. I currently have 4 under my belt and looking to add many more! My favorite season is Fall as I love watching the Detroit Lions with my husband. We have 3 children ages 23, 18 & 14 as well as 4 year old English Mastiff fur baby named Willow.

I joined the Flat River team in 2010 as a chairside dental assistant. I continued my dental assistant training and received my Registered Dental Assistant license in 2015. I have a passion for all things dental! Fun Fact: Dr. Faber has been keeping my teeth healthy since birth. I married my high school sweetheart in 2012 and we have two children. I love camping with my family during the awesome Michigan summers.

I joined the FRFD team in 2021. I graduated from Greenville High School and attended Montcalm Community College to get my Associates degree. I also obtained my CDA (certified dental assistant) certificate. My passion for dentistry started at a young age. I plan on continuing my education and becoming a dental hygienist in the near future. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.

I joined the Flat River Family Dentistry team in 2021. I graduated from CMU with a degree in food service management. I worked in that industry for years until I had children. I have found that the skills that I learned there carried over into the field of dentistry. I have a passion for learning new things and for my family. I am looking forward to expanding my dental knowledge in the future. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy running and riding my Peloton.

I received my dental hygiene license from Lansing Community College in 2006. I am certified in Administering Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. I joined the FRFD team in 2016. I have a passion for healthy mouths! I am married and have two wonderful kids. I enjoy spending time with family & friends, hunting and riding my horses.

I joined the FRFD team in 2020. I started my career in dentistry in 2004 as a Registered Dental Assistant. I then continued my education and received my license in 2011 as a Registered Dental Hygienist, certified in Administration of Local Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide. I have a passion for dentistry and love being a hygienist! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family & friends!
